From Fear to Confidence: My Transformative Internship Journey at Acestar

” Stepping into Acestar as an intern has been one of the most meaningful parts of my learning journey. I remember my first day clearly—I woke up early, nervous but determined to make a good impression, and headed to the LRT for my first solo ride, feeling a mix of excitement and anxiety as I questioned whether I could handle this internship alone. When I arrived at Bangsar South, I asked the guard for directions and made my way to the Acestar office with shaking hands. I hesitated before pressing the knock button, but the warm smile that greeted me instantly eased my nerves. When I first joined Acestar, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. I came in with very little confidence—I was shy, afraid of rejection, scared of making mistakes, and worried that I might get scolded for not doing well. I also wasn’t fluent in English, which made me even more anxious about communicating in a professional environment. But everything changed the moment I walked into the CEO’s room for the first time. Meeting Ms. Natalie became a turning point for me. From day one, she supported me when I doubted myself, guided me patiently, and always reminded me, “You can do it.” Her words slowly became the foundation that helped me break out of my shell. I used to feel nervous updating her or asking questions, but each conversation helped me grow. She was strict when needed yet warm, approachable, and full of insights that inspired me. I truly admire her—not just for her position, but for the way she leads with strength and heart. What once scared me eventually became a precious opportunity that taught me to be brave, to step forward, and to trust myself. I remembered one of my tasks was to handle a webinar—something I had never done before. I needed to get people to join, collect RSVPs, and make calls to invite them personally, and I still remember how nervous and anxious I felt during my first call. Some people rejected the invitation, but I learned to adjust my strategy and keep going. When someone finally said “yes,” I felt an unexpected wave of happiness because it showed me, I was starting to overcome something I had always feared. I also had to be the webinar host for attendees from different companies. Even though I had never hosted a webinar before, I pushed through my fear and treated it as an opportunity to grow. Who knew that taking that step would lead to compliments from my speaker, Benjamin, and my boss—something that made me truly proud. The night before, I barely slept, imagining what could go wrong. But just before it started, my boss wished me luck and reminded me I could do it, giving me the confidence to perform well and prove I was capable of more than I ever believed. Now, as my internship draws to a close, I can see how much I’ve grown. Tasks that once terrified me are now things I can handle with confidence. My communication has improved, my English is better, and I’ve learned to believe in myself. This internship wasn’t just work—it was a journey of growth, courage, and transformation. And I will always be grateful to Acestar, especially to Ms. Natalie, for helping me discover a stronger version of myself.  ” Thank you.
