How Internship At Acestar Change My Life

I still remember the morning it all started. I woke up, brushed my teeth, and made my usual breakfast of Milo and a few biscuits. As I sat at my desk, I opened my laptop and began scrolling through job portals, something I had been doing almost every day. My internship search had turned into a routine of applying, waiting, and refreshing my email again and again. By that point, I had sent out nearly a hundred applications. Out of all those, only about twenty replied, and just a few invited me for interviews. Each interview brought hope, but most ended with silence. Then one afternoon, something unexpected happened. I had just finished lunch and was deciding whether to send more applications or focus on my assignments when my phone rang. It was Acestar, calling to schedule an interview for the next day. I prepared everything carefully, as I always did, and found a quiet corner for the interview. It went smoothly, but I tried not to get my hopes up when the HR said, “We’ll contact you if you’re selected.” The next morning, while working on my assignment, my phone rang again. It was the same number. My heart started pounding as I picked up the call, half expecting another polite rejection. Instead, I heard the words, “Congratulations, you’ve been accepted as an intern at Acestar.” For a few seconds, I couldn’t move. Then I smiled and couldn’t stop laughing. All the effort, the waiting, and the disappointment had finally led to something worth it. That was the moment my journey with Acestar truly began. Working at Acestar was an experience I will never forget. From the very first week, I had the rare opportunity to work closely with the CEO, Miss Natalie. It was both exciting and challenging at the same time. Every discussion with her felt like a valuable learning experience. She didn’t just listen; she encouraged me to think deeper and understand the bigger picture. I learned how small ideas could bring meaningful change and how confidence and curiosity matter just as much as skill. Working closely with her also taught me to communicate more clearly, explain technical ideas in simple terms, and be open to feedback. Sometimes my ideas were accepted, and other times refined, but every exchange was a learning opportunity. Through her guidance, I learned to see things not only from a technical side but from a business and leadership perspective as well. Looking back, I am grateful that I never gave up. That one morning, with a cup of Milo and a phone call I almost ignored, became the start of something that changed my journey completely.

Internship Journey Through the Lens of an Intern

Written by Sherly – Intern at Acestar I can still vividly remember the surprise when I was shortlisted among the Top 10 Finalists for my Final Year Project (FYP). Later, I managed to secure a Silver Award during the industry panel evaluation. I was on cloud nine that day, everything just falling perfectly into place. However, out of nowhere, there came an unexpected news—being rejected from an internship application in a role I desired. It left me in a moment of self-doubt. Questions lingered in my mind: “What do I lack? Did I mess up the technical test?” Still, I told myself that one rejection did not define me. I lifted myself up and kept applying for more AI-related internship positions. Not long after, I received a call from Acestar on a typical afternoon. I attended the interview and everything felt much smoother this time. On 3rd July 2025, I officially received an internship offer from Acestar! The effort and waiting from early May to July just felt worthwhile. On the first day of my internship, I woke up at 5.20 a.m. with one thought in my mind “I need to leave as quickly as possible to get ahead of others”. As the sun rose, a whole new beginning was unfolding. Driving through the morning traffic, my excitement and curiosity grew as I vibed with my favourite songs, accompanied by the warming sunrise. That magical moment filled me with positivity, I was all ready to embrace a whole new chapter of life. Arriving at the office, I felt the usual nervousness, cautiously adjusting myself in a new environment. Little did I know, something thrilling was silently brewing. Right on my first day, I was informed that my tasks would be assigned directly by the CEO. It was both exciting and daunting, as I knew I had to work even harder for this rare opportunity. Just as I imagined many situations of what meeting the CEO might be like, the actual moment turned out to be so much better. I was first captivated by her charm and the subsequent conversation revealed her to be someone who is strict yet approachable and amiable. Only by bravely stepping forward, you will soon realize it is never as intimidating as it may seem. In fact, it is truly a precious moment interacting with the upper management, something that many people hope for. This is the time for us to grab valuable insights and definitely broaden our perspective on certain fields or topics. Here is where my professional growth begins. Together with Acestar, I aim to grasp the true value of connecting ourselves with the business and bridging technology with human connection.

Creative Is About Meaning

What I Learned as an Intern: Creative IT Isn’t About More Features, It’s About More Meaning

Written by Eng – Intern at Acestar When I joined Acestar as an intern, I thought I knew what to expect. Like many students in tech, I imagined I’d sharpen my coding skills, learn to use software more efficiently, and maybe even build digital solutions faster. I assumed this internship would be all about tools, features, and technical know-how. But what I encountered was something very different and much more meaningful. In School, We’re Taught to Follow Specs, Not Ask “Why?” Back in university, most of our assignments came with clear requirements: “Finish on time,  Follow the specs, Use the latest tools, Don’t ask too many questions“. We were trained to be efficient, but not always encouraged to be curious. We rarely asked: “Why are we building this feature? Who is it for? What real-world problem are we solving?” That mindset followed many of us into our early work and internships. We used Adobe, Figma, and web dev tools, not because we were told to, but because we were curious. Still, we focused more on what to do, rather than why. At Acestar, the Focus Shifted: From Features to Purpose One of the first things I noticed at Acestar was the culture. It wasn’t just about delivering digital products or selling software licenses, it was about solving real problems. Here’s what felt different: I topics discussing user pain points, not just design specs I heard conversations about impact, not just output I was invited to contribute ideas, not just execute tasks Whether the team was working on reselling Adobe licenses, collaborating on education tools, or empowering students through Creative Cloud, the focus was always human-first. IT with Meaning: What I Took Away I expected to gain tech skills, but I learned much more: Creativity and purpose go hand in hand Tech isn’t meaningful unless it solves real problems A good team listens before they build These lessons weren’t written in a textbook. I learned them by observing how the Acestar team approaches challenges with empathy, curiosity, and collaboration. Final Reflection: It’s Not Just About Learning Tech I came in wanting to be faster and more technical. I left understanding that IT: when done right, isn’t about more features. It’s about building something with meaning. Interested in Joining Acestar? If you’re curious, creative, and want to learn what purposeful IT looks like in the real world, we’d love to hear from you. Adobe Express vs Canva

Written by Eng – Intern at Acestar I remember that time when I needed to design something. A poster, to be exact. The idea was crystal clear in my head, but then came the tricky part… Choosing the right tool. My first instinct was Canva. It’s the rising star in design software, and practically everyone around me was using it.  But instead of diving straight in, I took a moment to explore. Checking out the UI, browsing templates, and testing a few basic features. I didn’t want to get halfway through and suddenly hit an unexpected roadblock, so I decided to play it safe. That curiosity (and a bit of late-night Googling) led me to Adobe Express. I’d heard of it before but never given it a proper try. So I dug in, read up on its features, and compared it with Canva side-by-side. After some research and hands-on testing, here’s my honest, neutral comparison of both tools: The Ultimate One-Table Comparison: The Final Reality Check If you’re building a consistent brand and need polished, pro-level designs go with Adobe Express. It’ll grow with you. If you just want to make quick, good-looking social posts and collaborate with your team, Canva is the faster choice. At the end of the day, both tools are excellent. It’s not about which is “better,” but which matches your workflow. Or you can use both as well.

Adobe Express

What is Adobe Express?

Written by Eng – Intern at Acestar I’ve always believed the right tool can make or break a design project. Not long ago, I found myself deep in a rabbit hole of design app research. Partly out of curiosity, partly because I wanted a way to create stunning visuals without battling complicated software. Somewhere between comparing template libraries, skimming feature lists, and letting AI-powered summaries feed me “top 10” articles, I stumbled across Adobe Express. I’d heard the name before, but honestly, I’d always filed it away under “probably too pricey” territory. Not that I was on a razor-thin budget, I just assumed Adobe was for people with bigger creative toolkits (and wallets). But this time, something made me pause. The pitch was simple: pro-quality designs, no design degree required. And with Adobe’s reputation behind it, I had to find out if it was all talk or the real deal. So, I rolled up my sleeves, explored its features, and here’s what I discovered. What exactly is Adobe Express? At first glance, it felt like Canva’s more sophisticated sibling, carrying Adobe’s legendary polish but without the “you need a design degree to use this” barrier. The promise was simple: scroll-stopping visuals, zero design experience required. Once I dove in, I found thousands of ready-made templates for social posts, flyers, invitations, even short videos. The drag-and-drop interface made the process effortless, while Adobe’s treasure chest of fonts, photos, icons, and creative assets made it nearly impossible to end up with something that looked amateur. The Secret Weapon? Adobe’s AI This isn’t the kind of AI that just “auto-fixes” your design and calls it a day. Adobe Express uses AI to suggest layouts that match your content, enhance your images so they’re sharper and more vibrant, and even resize your designs so they fit perfectly across different platforms. It’ll nudge you toward the right colors, fonts, and layouts so you can skip the guesswork and focus on making your idea pop. These AI-powered tools take the guesswork out of design, making it possible to create eye-catching visuals in minutes even if you’ve never designed anything before. So, who’s it for? Honestly, anyone!  But it’s a dream for small business owners who need social content fast, marketers who don’t have time to wait on a designer, and yes… anyone who’s ever shed a tear trying to align text in PowerPoint.
